Important information about a change of ownership

Effective the 1st July 2025, the properties located in Edinburgh will transition to become Marriott managed locations. For all existing reservations until 30th June 2025, nothing will change. For all bookings staying from the 1st of July, The Edinburgh Grand will become a Marriott Luxury Collection, and Old Town Chambers will become part of the Autograph Collection.

While the property’s branding will change, we want to reassure you that your experience as a valued guest will remain the same. Any existing bookings due to check-in after 1st July will be fully honoured and there are no planned changes to the services or amenities promised at the time of your reservation.

Cheval The Edinburgh Grand is situated on St Andrew Square with a fantastic selection of shops, restaurants and attractions just a short walk away. This former bank headquarters now houses 50 luxuriously appointed apartments. On the 4th floor is The Register Club, a bar and lounge serving breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails. There are two additional restaurants on the ground floor: steak restaurant Hawksmoor and bar and café Lady Libertine.

Live on the Royal Mile when you book a stay at Cheval Old Town Chambers. Our 82 all-apartment residence is perfectly placed to soak up the city’s history and atmosphere. On the ground floor is Luckenbooths Bar & Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks.

Cheval Abbey Strand Apartments is located at the doorstep of the Palace of Holyroodhouse in the royal heart of Edinburgh. The luxury Residence features nine beautifully designed serviced apartments that includes a collection of open plan, one and two-bedroom apartments.
